The following information is for Non-Customers of MRIS. If you are a Broker or an Agent, please visit a more appropriate page at Broker/Agent Customers of MRIS

Web Developers, Vendors and other Non-Customers of MRIS:

Thank you for your inquiry about our RETS Database License and Access service.

MRIS offers authorized vendors a license to use our listing content on their Web sites. Content is provided from our servers using the Real Estate Transaction Standard (RETS) protocol, a real estate specific version of XML. You may either download the content and maintain a local database against which to query or perform the queries in real time against our servers. The same query language is used for both processes. More detail on the RETS standard can be found at www.retsinfo.com and www.rets.org.

To obtain a license the program fee is $1000.00 annually plus the developers license fee which ranges from $1,500 (minimum) to $50,000 (maximum) per year for a multi-site license depending on the volume of business you are deriving from our channel. Reselling of our content to non-subscribers is strictly prohibited by our license, however, you may sell your services that use our content to as many MRIS subscribers as you like, within the terms of the license. If you provide a service to more than one Broker or Agent you are required to obtain a master license.

Below you will find a link to an introductory package (in *.zip file format) of information outlining the service as well as a reference copy of our standard license agreement. DO NOT execute this agreement. It is provided as a convenience for you and your attorney to become familiar with the terms of use of the service. In order to create a contract specific to your individual situation and needs, we need some specific information from you. Also below is a link to our initial questionnaire with questions and information we need. You may send the information by attaching it as an MS® Word document in *.doc format to an email addressed to Contracts. Once received, we will create a contract and price schedule that meets your needs and return it to you for execution. You will need to submit a sample of the Web site or product/service you are building (or the URL to a development version) to our Compliance Department for review. Sample data is provided for your use in the creation of the Web site or product/service. Upon approval by the Compliance Department and execution by MRIS, you will be issued login credentials. An invoice will be submitted so that you may remit payment.

If you have questions about the contract, the service or the rules for using/displaying MRIS content, please don't hesitate to contact our Contracts Department at the email address above. If your questions are technical in nature, please address them to RETS. This is our technical support mailbox for RETS services and is the only contact point for RETS support. Our regular Helpdesk personnel are not trained in RETS support issues and phone calls to them are automatically referred to this mailbox.

Thanks again for your interest in and support of MRIS. We appreciate your business.
