Director, Application Management Services
We are looking for a Director of Application Management Services who will be responsible for the overall planning, execution, and success of the application portfolio maintenance and implementation of new development projects, ensuring that they are accomplished within the prescribed time frame while meeting quality expectations and funding parameters. The individual will lead and manage all phases of the software development lifecycle including the requirements, design, implementation and maintenance. Successful candidate must also be able to contribute at a tactical operational level as well as a strategic level.
You’ll report directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO). This position typically requires a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; advanced degree preferred. 15+ year’s development management experience and 5+ years in a senior role managing a development team required. Experience managing development teams using Agile methodologies needed. Must have in depth technical abilities including strong programming and design skills. Must have a strong understanding of relational database concepts including SQL, indexes, transactions and experience with a major DB system such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, etc. Demonstrated experience implementing data warehouse applications using multiple tools, methods and business intelligence reporting applications is needed. Experience with contract negotiation, budget management, SLA creation/management and RFP response is required. Knowledge of different software development life cycles is essential. Previous management with in-house development teams as well as vendor supported applications and offshored resources are required. Significant experience with data-enabled web processing and service-oriented application architecture is needed. Consulting experience is desirable. Experience in the real estate industry is desirable. PMP certification is also desirable.
