Sr. Web Developer
Duties include, but not limited to, building software applications to provide the technical architecture of Web sites or Web-based software products by gathering feedback from design and technical staff on Web site development needs; assisting in content development and management of web sites; creating prototypes and functional specifications for software projects; creating technical methodologies for engineering solutions to Web-based development problems; author complex Web pages, designs frameworks, templates and guidelines; conceptualize long-term needs of Web development and plan and manage related projects; build user interface applications and back-end databases using various programming and scripting languages.
Typically requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 6 – 9 years experience. Experience using SQL as a data description and manipulation language required. Prefer experience in Java or other OO language or Cold fusion application servers. Must possess the ability to guide, instruct, and inform less experienced developers in methodologies, guidelines, frameworks and complex tasks. A broad understanding of the principles, concepts and techniques of a technical/technical support area, including the impact on peripheral business areas is required as well as the ability to work independently on moderately complex tasks with little instruction. Must exhibit significant independent judgment.
