What really does happen?
If a SAFEMLS® token is lost or broken, we have you covered 24/7. Through the Secure Login screen, you can report a token lost or broken anytime of day. Several things happen in both of these cases without you doing anything further.
- The token is removed from the SAFEMLS® server so it cannot be used again.
- Immediately, you receive a temporary emergency 7 day pin/password to use through the email address on file with MRIS. Your access is immediate with this pin/password for 7 days while your new token is mailed to you.
- MRIS is notified if it is a lost token or broken token automatically.
- MRIS will send a new token to your home address on file with us.
- If it is a broken token, a pre-addressed stamped return envelope will be provided so you can return the broken token to MRIS.
