Who Benefits from MRIS?
MRIS Benefits all Participants in the Real Estate Transaction
MRIS is designed exclusively for use by Real Estate Brokers, Salespersons and Appraisers. If you would
like to buy or sell a home, please contact a Real Estate Professional/REALTORS®.
Sellers:
MRIS helps sellers who want to ensure their home is adequately marketed to potential home buyers. Sellers
who work with MRIS customers have their home placed into a computerized, regional network. The property is
advertised not only to all other MRIS customers but is also posted on a variety of real estate websites. This
means that potential homebuyers from all over the world can view properties listed for sale in MRIS.
In addition, by using the products and services provided by MRIS, REALTORS and Real Estate Professionals can ensure homes are appropriately priced. The
comparative marketing analysis program assists REALTORS and Real Estate Professionals in reviewing recent home sales and
pricing a new listing accordingly.
Buyers:
MRIS provides several benefits to home buyers. MRIS customers can search the database from desktop or laptop
computers. This helps buyers narrow their search and saves hours in time driving from one house to another. There
are over 350 data fields in MRIS, which means buyers get a detailed list of property characteristics. All property
listings have the ability to display at least one exterior photograph. Additional photographs are available as requested by the
listing agent.

MRIS also provides additional real-estate related programs. For example, school profiles are available.
Agents can generate customized reports for buyers that include school characteristics such as student-teacher ratios,
average SAT scores and a list of extra-circular activities. Additionaly, MRIS provides financial programs for qualifying buyers,
estimating closing costs, and generating an amortization schedule.
