1. Why is ListHub adding franchise and industry websites to the ListHub channels tab?

ListHub already has built-in functionality to provide individual broker and agent opt-in and opt-out to a variety of websites. Therefore, after the NAR 2011 Midyear Meetings, many of ListHub’s MLS partners contacted ListHub to request that we assist with implementing functionality to support NAR's Presidential Advisory Group recommendation for franchise and similar websites to receive listings via syndication instead of IDX. The Real Estate Network is a simple platform to allow individual brokers the option to display their listings on a franchise network website.

2. Who can receive listings under The Real Estate Network?

Recipients of listing data under The Real Estate Network must be a) an entity that grants real estate brokerage franchises under such entity's trademarks pursuant to a franchise disclosure document that satisfies all applicable Federal Trade Commission rules and regulations; or (b) operate a membership dues-driven organization with full service to brokerage organizations directly.

3. Can brokers opt-in and opt-out of the sites individually?

Yes. Each franchise site will appear as an individual selection in the ListHub dashboard just like all of the other sites on the ListHub Channels page. Like other ListHub syndication channels, agents can opt-in to the channels that their brokers have opted in to.

4. How will the data be sent to the recipient sites?

ListHub will pull listings authorized by broker and MLS customers and distribute them to sites in The Real Estate Network at the same rate currently supported for all other ListHub Publishers, and requires the site to update every 24 hours

5. Will the sites under The Real Estate Network supply metrics for display in the ListHub reports?

Yes. One requirement for participating as a recipient of listings is that the franchise or broker network supplies metrics data for inclusion in ListHub reports, including the number of property views and inquiries generated. The metrics will display on the ListHub reports as a single item in the reports, rather than broken down by website.

6. When will The Real Estate Network be live in ListHub?

As franchises and other industry groups elect to receive listing data via the Real Estate Network, they will be added as options in the ListHub Channels tab.

7. What is the cost to MLSs and brokers or agents for participating in The Real Estate Network?

There is no additional cost for MLSs, brokers or agents to participate in the Real Estate Network.

8. What are the display rules for entities that receive listings via The Real Estate Network?

The display rules are consistent across all franchise and industry participants. The rules closely mimic common IDX display rules. To review the complete set of rules, please click here.

9. Which franchises and broker networks are participating in the Real Estate Network?

The charter participants of the Real Estate Network are: RE/MAX, Century 21, Coldwell Banker, and Realty Executives. The complete list of franchise and industry sites will always be available on the ListHub Channels tab.

10. How do I opt-in to The Real Estate Network?

Login to MRIS.com, and under Quick Links, click on ListHub, then click on the Channels Tab. As with all ListHub channels, if you have already selected "Subscribe to all" you will not need to take action, and your subscription to the franchise and broker network sites will be automatic .You can unsubscribe from the Real Estate Network sites at any time.
