How do I add my contacts to the MRIS Marketing Center?

You can import contacts into the MRIS Marketing Center by using .csv, .xls or .xlsx files and following these steps:

  1. In the main menu, click on Contacts.
  2. In the left column of the page, click on the Import Contacts button.
  3. You'll be importing your contacts into a new or existing contact group. Enter a new group name and click Add Group, or click Select Existing and select an existing group name from the resulting menu.
  4. Click the Next button.
  5. Drag and drop your contacts file (in .csv, .xls or .xlsx format) onto the phrase Drag and Drop a File Here, or click the phrase Click to Upload to locate and select the file on your computer.
  6. The file will be uploaded and you'll see the column matching screen.
  7. Now you'll be mapping/matching the imported columns to the correct part of the address book by using the menus where you see the phrase Skip Column.

For example: If you see first names in the first column, change Skip Column to First Name. Do this for each column. Leave the menu set to Skip Column for any column which you do not wish to use. If the menu doesn't have a matching entry for a column, you'll be able to create a custom field for that column later.

Note: You must map at least one column. The email address is a good choice if you want to match only one column.
  8. Use the horizontal scrollbar below the list to scroll to the right to make a choice for each column.
  9. When you've finished mapping columns as described above, click the Next button in the lower-right corner.
  10. A summary of the import to take place will be displayed. Click the Next button to proceed.

Note: There may be a pause while the addresses are imported. When the import is done you'll be shown a summary of the import. Click the Done button to view the group you imported the new contacts into. [back to top]

Can I import my Matrix Contacts into MRIS Marketing Center?

If you don't know how to export your Matrix contacts, you can watch a short tutorial Exporting from Matrix, available on mrisTV.com or read the step-by-step instructions on the Help tab when you're using Matrix. [back to top]

Does MRIS or Imprev access, retain, use or sell the contacts I add to the Contacts section of Imprev?

Neither MRIS or Imprev access, use, retain or sell any contact information that is entered into the MRIS Marketing Center. This is covered in MRIS’ privacy policy and in Imprev’s privacy policy. You can also access Imprev’s privacy policy by clicking on the Privacy link in the lower left corner of the Marketing Center. [back to top]

Is it okay for me to use the options in MRIS Marketing Center to share marketing materials I’ve created to social media sites?

Yes, since the photos all contain the MRIS copyright, the listing data is protected. In addition, for Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, the MRIS Marketing Center actually posts links to PDF documents of the marketing materials you created. [back to top]

When I click on the Marketing button on the Keystone Home Page, are unsaved changes to the listing sent to the MRIS Marketing Center?

No, only changes that have been submitted to the MLS will be sent to the MRIS Marketing Center. [back to top]

If I make changes to a listing and submit them in Keystone, will the marketing project (flyer, etc.) that I created in the MRIS Marketing Center for that listing be automatically updated?

No, the listing data is only sent to the MRIS Marketing Center when you click on the Marketing button from the Keystone Home Page.

There are two options to update marketing projects:

  1. You can log into the MRIS Marketing Center and edit a saved project to manually update it so that it matches the changes you made to the listing, or
  2. You can click on the Marketing button on the Keystone Home Page AFTER you submit the listing changes. This will send the updated listing data to the MRIS Marketing Center, and you can create a new marketing project (flyer, etc.) using the most up-to-date listing information. [back to top]

Why do I see warning messages on the Photo page of the project process?

MRIS Marketing Center will warn you if you have a photo that needs to be cropped or a photo that is low resolution and may result in poor image quality on your finished project.

We recommend using high quality images with at least 75dpi (dots per inch) for multimedia designs and at least 150dpi for print designs. Images from most digital cameras can be uploaded without first reducing them in photo editing software. If you've uploaded a small version of an image, but have a larger version of the image available, try uploading a larger version of the image instead.

Note: Using photo editing software to enlarge a small image will degrade the quality of the image, not improve it. You'll need an original large image.

Does the MRIS Marketing Center work on the iPad or other tablets?

No, the MRIS Marketing Center is not designed to work on tablets or smartphones. The digital marketing materials can be viewed on mobile devices. [back to top]

Why do I see a message telling me to upgrade my browser when I try to access MRIS Marketing Center?

If you are using Internet Explorer 8, when you click on the Marketing button on the Keystone home page, or on the Marketing link on MRIS.com, the following message is displayed: “We’ve detected you’re using Internet Explorer 8. For a better experience, please run Windows Update to install the latest version of Internet Explorer. If your computer is running Windows XP (or earlier), or if you are using a Mac, please try Google’s Chrome Browser (free).” You can click “OK” to close that message.

Certain features in the MRIS Marketing Center are incompatible with Internet Explorer 8:

  • The Preview feature for the Virtual Tour does not work in Internet Explorer 8. However, once you have published the Virtual Tour, it can be viewed using Internet Explorer 8.
  • Appraisers who click on the Marketing link on the Quick Links menu on MRIS.com may encounter an error message.

Issues in Internet Explorer 8 can be resolved by upgrading to a newer browser. For more information and suggestions for browsers that provide a better user experience, please click here[back to top]
