Rockville, MD —August 12, 2009—MRIS, the nation’s largest multiple listing service and one of the nation’s leading real estate information technology companies, is planning to implement the newest generation of Clareity Security’s access management service, known as Scout and Sentry for SAFEMLS. This new technology will make access more convenient to the 47,000 customers of MRIS at no additional cost, while maintaining MRIS’ commitment to the quality and security of the service.
Data security is more critical than ever since it is no longer just listing information at stake - MLSs maintain a variety of information on behalf of their customers. MRIS has been a leader in implementing secure access technology and is constantly searching for new and innovative ways to enhance security and add value for customers. Once the new technology is deployed later this year, MRIS customers will be able to simply enter their normal authentication credentials without the use of a hard token.
“We work to consistently improve the quality and convenience of our service to our customers and are excited to bring them the next generation of secure authentication technology. Clareity offers the ideal security solution since it is based on leading technology that allows use of our service without inconveniencing customers,” said David Charron, President and CEO of MRIS.
Scout and Sentry for SAFEMLS analyze multiple transparent session factors to ensure that the user logging in is the legitimate user. The solution combines something the user knows (the username, PIN and password) with something the user has (the device used to access the system) with something the user does (unique keystroke dynamics/typing patterns). These three factors together are used by Scout to aggregate, analyze, and act on session information to secure the MLS system data.
“We are pleased to continue our successful partnership with MRIS to deliver the most convenient and reliable access management options to their customers” stated Amy Geddes, EVP and Chief Operating Officer of Clareity Security.
